StrongRock Solutions

Loss Consulting

An objective measure of the loss.

Disputes start when the parties measure the same loss differently. StrongRock Solutions provides independent assessment, estimating, and analysis that gives owners, attorneys, adjusters, and contractors a reliable factual foundation, whatever the forum.

Damage Assessment & Documentation

Independent on-site evaluation of property damage with verified measurements, photographic records tied to floor plans, moisture mapping where relevant, and condition documentation that establishes the factual record of the loss.

Causation Evaluation

Objective cause and origin analysis: storm damage versus wear and deterioration, sudden loss versus long-term seepage, covered peril versus construction defect. Findings are documented for adjusters, attorneys, and appraisal panels.

Estimate Review & Reconciliation

Line-by-line audit of competing repair estimates, including Xactimate files. We identify scope gaps, quantity errors, pricing discrepancies, and misapplied depreciation or overhead and profit, then produce a reconciled, defensible valuation.

Cost Estimating

Ground-up repair and replacement cost estimates in industry-standard platforms, supported by current local price lists, trade-sequenced scopes, and ordinance and law / code upgrade analysis.

Construction Defect Investigation

Technical investigation of workmanship and material failures, with defect-related conditions separated cleanly from peril-related damage so each lands in the right bucket.

Litigation & ADR Support

Expert reports, exhibits, and testimony support for mediation, arbitration, appraisal, and first-party property litigation involving damage valuation.

The Standard

Consulting without advocacy.

We do not negotiate claims, represent parties, or adjust losses. We measure them. That independence is exactly what makes the findings useful: to a homeowner who needs a straight answer, to an attorney building a record, to an adjuster testing a file, and to a contractor whose scope is being questioned. Every engagement produces the same deliverable, a documented analysis of what was damaged, what caused it, and what it costs to repair.

Loss consulting questions

+ What is insurance claim loss consulting?

Loss consulting is independent expert work on the measurement of a property loss: what was damaged, what caused it, what it costs to repair, and how competing estimates differ. A loss consultant does not represent or negotiate for any party. The deliverable is a documented, defensible analysis that the parties, their counsel, or a panel can rely on.

+ How is a loss consultant different from a public adjuster?

A public adjuster represents the policyholder and negotiates the claim for a percentage of the recovery. A loss consultant is independent, works for a flat or hourly fee, and produces the same analysis no matter who pays the invoice. That independence is what makes the work usable in appraisal, mediation, arbitration, and court.

+ Who hires a loss consultant?

Homeowners who need a straight answer on a disputed estimate. Attorneys building or defending a first-party property case. Public adjusters and carriers who need an independent scope on a complex file. Contractors whose repair estimates are being cut. Mediators and arbitrators who need a neutral technical foundation.

+ Can you review an existing Xactimate estimate?

Yes. Estimate review is one of our core services. We audit scope, quantities, line-item selection, pricing, depreciation, and overhead and profit application, and we document every variance with the evidence behind it.

+ What does loss consulting cost?

We work on flat or hourly fees, quoted in writing before the engagement begins. The fee depends on the size of the loss, the scope of the question, and whether testimony or panel work is anticipated. We never work on contingency: our compensation does not change with the outcome, which is what keeps the analysis independent and usable in any forum.

Need an independent opinion?

Describe the loss and the question you need answered. We scope the engagement and quote it plainly, in writing.
